Online elevator pitch

(preface: no idea if this exists, i havent searched, i just thought of this now)

Why not have the equivalent of an elevator pitch, but online? Say you are a VC/Angel investor. Clearly there are too many ideas to feasibly read them all. But once in a while its good to take a chance on some short pitches. Schools have ‘elevator pitches’ events and while they dont always produce amazing companies, its a great way to hear about a lot of new ideas quickly.

Format: VC guy (eg. Fred Wilson) allows people to send an email that needs to pitch their company and take under 30 seconds to read/digest. You could maybe have a link to a website but VC guy would need to get the gist in 30seconds. Then if you like, you can send them to a next ‘round’ or contact them to meet.

You spend 5 minutes a day = 10 potential companies. And its a great way for potential entrepreneurs to test out their hypothesis with some smart people.
